Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA)

The Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, 2005 (AODA) was enacted to develop, implement, and enforce standards for accessibility with respect to goods, services, accommodation, employment, facilities and premises throughout Ontario.

Accessible Seating – Locations

Rogers Centre accessible seating areas are located at the top of standard seating sections. Chairs are provided for companions who do not require a wheelchair spot. The following are the accessible seating sections at Rogers Centre (subject to event-related sightline restrictions and any ticket availability):

Accessible Seating – Ticket Information

Rogers Centre accessible seating is reserved exclusively for guests with accessible needs and their companions. All persons attending baseball games and other events at the stadium require an admission ticket, including those accompanying guests with accessible needs.

Accessible seats for Toronto Blue Jays games and Rogers Centre events are available for purchase by phone and on-line through Ticketmaster, or in person at the Rogers Centre Gate 9 Box Office:

Accessible seats are subject to the same on-sale schedules and ticket availability as standard seating and are sold on a first-come, first-served basis.

Guests requiring an accessible seat may also purchase up to three additional seats for their companions (subject to availability) unless otherwise restricted by event-level ticket limits. Due to limited inventory, seating for larger groups must be purchased in standard seating sections nearby.

Accessible Seating – Ticket Exchanges

Guests who have purchased standard tickets but require accessible seating will need to exchange their tickets prior to arriving at the stadium. Please note that accessible seating is subject at all times to availability and therefore exchange options may not be available in all price levels. Further, accessible seating tickets are subject to the same dynamic pricing changes as regular stadium seating.

Toronto Blue Jays SubscribersToronto Blue Jays Season Ticket Members and Game Pack Holders wishing to exchange a ticket for a regular seat to a ticket for an accessible seat should contact their Ticket Sales Representative. Exchanges will be accommodated subject to ticket availability and upgraded price level charges may apply.

Ticket Partners or guests with tickets transferred by a Toronto Blue Jays Subscriber – Guests who were transferred tickets by a Toronto Blue Jays Subscriber should contact 416-341-1540 to inquire about accessible seating availability. Exchanges will be accommodated subject to ticket availability and upgraded price level charges may apply.

Ticketmaster Purchasers – Guests who purchased tickets for regular seating through Ticketmaster (by phone or online) and who wish to exchange for tickets for accessible seating should contact Ticketmaster's Fan Support Line at 1-855-985-4357. Exchanges will be accommodated subject to ticket availability and upgraded price level charges may apply.

Third Party Purchases – Ticket exchanges will not be accommodated for guests with Toronto Blue Jays tickets that were not originally purchased directly from the Toronto Blue Jays or Ticketmaster or from the Rogers Centre box office.

Please note that Rogers Centre and the Toronto Blue Jays staff reserve the right to take appropriate action against individuals who fraudulently obtain accessible and companion seating.

Automated Teller Machines (ATMs)

Toronto-Dominion (TD) Bank ATMs are available throughout Rogers Centre and are equipped with Audio Guidance that provides instructions on how to use the machines. A headphone jack is required to use the ATM Audio Guidance feature.

Concessions

Food and beverage attendants provide in-seat sales and service to each Rogers Centre accessible seating section, as well as in our regular stadium seating.

While guest assistance is available at any concession locations upon request, dedicated accessible service lines are also available at our Hogtown Grill concession stands, located at Sections 120 and 128.

Drop-off / Pick-up

The designated drop-off/pick-up location for guests with accessible needs is Rogers Centre Gate 7, located on the south side of the building, close to Bremner Boulevard.

Electrical Outlets

Guests are welcome to charge their wheelchairs and other items required for accessibility at Rogers Centre Guest Services locations near Sections 120, 135, 212, 236, 508 and 532.

Evacuations

Rogers Centre and Toronto Blue Jays security and event staff have been trained and instructed to assist guests in evacuating the stadium in the event of an emergency. In such an event, guests are asked to remain calm and follow instructions given via the public address system, uniformed event staff, security, police and medical personnel.

During emergencies, guests should not use elevators. Instead, guests will be directed to exit Rogers Centre using the stairs or ramps. Staff are available to assist those requiring support. Guests are also encouraged to take the following steps in the event of an emergency:

Be aware of your location inside Rogers Centre at all times. Identify the two exits located nearest to your seats.

Event Schedules

Toronto Blue Jays game and promotion schedules are currently available for download here in HTML format and as a CSV file, as well as calendar formats for Outlook, iCal, Google, and a beta format for Yahoo Calendars.

Fan Assist

Guests are invited to make use of the FAN ASSIST program if they have an issue in their seating section or a question related to their experience. The program enables guests to report issues or concerns, ask for information or call for assistance in a discreet and convenient manner.

In order to receive assistance, send a text message to 647-503-4131 using your mobile phone and include a description of your issue or question along with your seating section, row and seat. Participation in this service is free of charge; however, standard carrier text messaging and data charges may apply.

Please note cell phone numbers that repeatedly send messages which are deemed fraudulent or irrelevant may be prevented from communicating in the future.

First Aid

First Aid rooms are available level near Rogers Centre Sections 134, 238 and 539. Guests requiring first aid are urged to contact any Rogers Centre or Toronto Blue Jays staff member or to visit one of our Guest Services or first aid locations.

A physician and registered nurse is available on-site during all Toronto Blue Jays games and most other Rogers Centre events. Paramedics are also on-site for each public event at Rogers Centre.

Gates / Entrance Points

Although guests with accessible needs may enter Rogers Centre through any open gate, our designated accessible entrance is Gate 7, located on the south side of the building, close to Bremner Boulevard. Guests requiring accessible support are encouraged to enter through Gate 7. Elevators are also available at Rogers Centre Gates 3, 9 and 13.

Guest Services Locations

Guest Services booths are located on the 100 Level of Rogers Centre, near Sections 120 and 135, on the 200 Level, near Sections 212 and 236, and on the 500 Level near Sections 508 and 532. Alternate locations may be open depending on event needs.

Guests are encouraged to visit any open Guest Services location in order to check any strollers or larger items, receive assistance related to lost persons or items and make other general inquiries.

Merchandise

All Jays Shop™ locations at Rogers Centre are wheelchair accessible. Jays Shop staff are always available and ready to assist guests at any time.

Outdoor Events

Accessible entrances are available for all outdoor events such as Jr. Jays™ Saturdays and Friday Fan Festivals. Please approach any event staff member for directions or assistance.

Oxygen Tanks

Guests requiring the use of an oxygen tank may bring it with them to Rogers Centre. Guest assistance is available at the Rogers Centre Gate 7 accessible entrance as required.

Parking

A limited number of accessible parking spaces are available for reservation by calling Rogers Centre Parking at 416-341-3004. Bookings can be made commencing three (3) weeks prior to the applicable event day. Callers should have their disability parking permit number ready when making a reservation.

Accessible parking spaces that are not reserved will be sold to guests with accessible needs on a first-come, first served basis on the day of the event.

Security

All workers and guests are subject to a security inspection upon entry at all gates. Guests with accessible needs or conditions that may require a variation in the standard inspection process are encouraged to enter Rogers Centre through our accessible support entrance at Gate 7, or, alternatively, Gates 3, 9 or 13.

Service Animals

Service animals are welcome at Rogers Centre and Toronto Blue Jays events. Guests who are accompanied by service animals must retain control of them, and should keep them on a leash or harness at all times while in the stadium.

For guests with service animals wishing to sit in standard seats, aisle seats are recommended.

Telecommunication Devices for the Deaf (TTY)

Telecommunications Devices for the Deaf (TDD), such as teletypewriter (TTY) telephones, allow persons with hearing impairments to communicate by typing messages.

TTY telephones are available at Rogers Centre at the Guest Services locations at Section 135 and Section 508.

Washrooms

All washroom facilities are equipped with wheelchair accessible stalls.

For guests requiring additional assistance from their support person, individual universal washrooms are available at Sections 134, 238 and 539.

Wheelchair Escorts

Rogers Centre and Toronto Blue Jays event staff are happy to meet guests at the Rogers Centre accessible support entrance at Gate 7 to provide assistance.

Guests that may require assistance traveling to or from their seats are encouraged to contact our Fan Services Team by phone at 416-341-1000 or email at fanfeedback@bluejays.com to arrange for a wheelchair escort at least one business day prior to the event.

Wheelchair Storage

Guests may check wheelchairs, strollers and other items required for accessibility at any the nearest open Guest Services location.
