Teamwork makes a difference. It comes in all forms, big game-saving plans and consistent day-in and day-out contributions. It's a key attribute of championship teams, and seen everyday in small victories. In 2011, teamwork helped provide recreation and educational opportunities to more than 17,000 children and youth across Canada. Event partners for The Curve Ball and 16th Annual Charity Golf Classic helped raise more than $1 Million for programs and facilities in communities in Ontario and across the country. Program partners helped us bring to life new venues and safe spaces along with quality recreation and education programs for thousands of kids in need. With sincere thanks to all of the corporate partners, fans and friends who joined us in making a difference off the diamond this season.
The fourth-annual Sportsnet Charity Broadcast Auction presented by TD will be held during the national broadcast of the Blue Jays versus the Rangers game on April 30, 2012, at 7:07 p.m. Fans from across Canada can bid on exclusive Blue Jays experiences and collections of memorabilia, with proceeds supporting Jays Care programs and outreach initiatives. Tune in to the Blue Jays broadcast on Sportsnet to check out and bid on the player auction prizes for this season!
Thank you to all of our fans across the country for tuning in to the third-annual Sportsnet Charity Broadcast Auction presented by TD on May 9, 2011. Thanks to our generous supporters, we raised more than $89,000 – our most successful Broadcast Auction to date!
Thank you to all the 2011 Charity Home Run Derby participants for stepping up to the plate and making this event such a success, together we raised over $165,000! Nine teams gathered on May 19 to compete for the ultimate title: to be crowned Home Run Derby Champion! The competitive group got advice from pros Jose Bautista, Rajai Davis & J.P. Arencibia and Blue Jays Alumni Kelly Gruber & Duane Ward to help give them an edge. In the end, Team Rogers took home the coveted Home Run Derby Trophy, Congratulations to the 2011 champion, Mike Zavershnik!
On June 13, guests took the field at Rogers Centre for Jays Care's signature event; The Curve Ball Gala presented by Rogers, Ericsson, UBS Bank & Cisco. The event raised a record breaking $370,000. Rogers's Sportsnet's Jamie Campbell and Evanka Osmak emceed the evening, that included dinner by Aramark and performances by crooner Sean Jones and international superstars, The Canadian Tenors. The Highlight of the night was by far the chance to mix and mingle with the entire 2011 Toronto Blue Jays team, coaches and notable alumni, including recent Hall of Fame inductee, Robbie Alomar.

Rattlesnake Point in Milton, ON was the place to be on Monday, August 8 for the 16th Annual Charity Golf Tournament presented by Rogers, Ericsson, UBS Bank & Cisco. 75 foursomes were joined by the 2011 Toronto Blue Jays and alumni, George Bell and Rogers Sportsnet's Buck Martinez, on a perfect summer day. The day-long tournament included tons of fun and games, amazing prizes, an all-star silent auction, the chance to win a trip to the 2011 World Series and a Big League Raffle with a grand prize of a trip to Honolulu, Hawaii courtesy of Air Canada Kids' Horizons & The Waikiki EDITION.

Thank you to everyone who supported Jays Care by making a purchase at our Annual Garage Sale. On Saturday, September 17, the Jays Care Foundation staff rolled up their sleeves and sold Blue Jays memorabilia in support of Jays Care.
