Throughout the 2013 season, Blue Jays players made special visits to hospitals across the city, spending time with some of their most inspiring fans. Check back soon to see where players, coaches, and staff will be visiting this year.
On July 25, 2013, the Lady Jays accompanied several Blue Jays players to visit Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation Hospital. The Lady Jays and players were able to play a game of wheel-chair baseball with the children and youth staying at Bloorview, while learning about the specialized programs and clinical care that the hospital offers.
On August 30, 2013, the Blue Jays visited the Hospital for Sick Children (SickKids). The players and the Lady Jays were able participate a variety of games and crafts with patients in Marnie's Lounge. The players were able to tour the hospital and visit some of the patients' rooms, which helped them to see firsthand the family-centred care provided by Canada's largest children's hospital.
