SHARLEE JETER, President
Sharlee Jeter began her involvement with the Turn 2 Foundation in 1996 as a high school volunteer. At the age of 18, Sharlee was named to the Board of Directors, and during college, she interned with the Foundation on summer and winter breaks. In 2002, she joined the Foundation full time as proogram director, focusing mainly on the New York area. She developed many successful initiatives, including a partnership with The St. Joseph's School for the Deaf in the Bronx, which led to the integration of the deaf into many Turn 2 programs and events. Most notably, the Foundation inducted its first deaf high school student into the Jeter's Leaders Program in Kalamazoo, Mich.

Sharlee proved to be a tremendous asset to the organization and was promoted to director of development in 2004, managing fundraising initiatives and corporate partnerships. In 2007, Sharlee was named vice president of the Turn 2 Foundation. She continued to identify innovative ways to build the organization, through special fundraising and program events that further promote the Foundation's mission, and by creating key branding opportunities and partnerships that increased exposure and corporate support.

Under her direction, both the Annual Dinner in New York City and the Derek Jeter Celebrity Golf Classic in Tampa, Fla., have grown exponentially. Both events have continued to sell out, and increase in revenue to support the youth served in Turn 2 Signature Programs. The Derek Jeter Celebrity Golf Classic has become the premier celebrity golf event in Florida.

In February 2010, Sharlee took over the reins as president and oversees the day-to-day operations of the Foundation. Sharlee's main focus is on fundraising and development, managing corporate partnerships, overseeing all Foundation consultants and acting as a liaison with the Foundation's Board of Directors and Resource Council.

Sharlee graduated in 1997 from Kalamazoo Central High School and received a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics in 2001 from Spelman College in Atlanta. Born and raised in Kalamazoo, Mich., Sharlee currently resides in New York City with her son Jalen.
