Verlander roughed up
Photos
Blue Jays 12, Tigers 5
Justin Verlander gave up four runs in the first inning and four more in the fourth. (AP)
Justin Verlander appeared to have turned the corner this spring, but on Opening Day, the Tigers righty was hit hard, allowing eight runs in 3 2/3 innings. Brandon Inge ripped a two-run shot in a four-run seventh, but Detroit couldn't catch Toronto.
