Justin Verlander appeared to have turned the corner this spring, but on Opening Day, the Tigers righty was hit hard, allowing eight runs in 3 2/3 innings. Brandon Inge ripped a two-run shot in a four-run seventh, but Detroit couldn't catch Toronto.
