In just his third game with the A's, rookie catcher Derek Norris hit his first homer.
And it just wasn't any homer. It was a game-ending, three-run dinger, lifting Oakland to a stunning 4-2 win over the Giants in the Bay Bridge Series finale.
After his walk-off shot, Norris discussed his heroics with Comcast Sportsnet. About 30 seconds into the convo, Norris was absolutely obliterated with a combination shaving-cream pie, a water bucket AND Gatorade bucket attack.
"It burned a little bit, but I've never had this feeling before so I will take it right now," Norris said once he recovered from the celebration.
