Tournament 12 is a national baseball tournament designed to showcase the best college eligible Canadian born players to both professional scouts and college recruiters. The tournament will take place at Rogers Centre in Toronto, September 16-20. Roberto Alomar will act as the Tournament Commissioner and will receive assistance from his father Sandy Alomar, along with Blue Jays alumni Paul Quantrill, Duane Ward, Lloyd Moseby, Devon White and Jesse Barfield.

A total of 160 players will be selected to participate in Tournament 12. Eight teams of 20 players will represent their regions of Canada and will play a minimum of five games at Rogers Centre with a tournament champion being crowned on Saturday, September 20. All players were selected by the Blue Jays Baseball Academy with assistance from the Blue Jays Scouting Department, Baseball Canada, and the Major League Baseball Scouting Bureau.

"With the amount of baseball talent coming out of this country, I am very honoured to help provide Canadian born players with this unique opportunity to show their skills to college recruiters and professional scouts."- Roberto Alomar, Baseball Hall of Famer.

Tournament 12 has already resulted in increased exposure for many Canadian born players. RHP Zach Pop from Brampton, Ontario benefited from the 2013 tournament with a scholarship offer from the University of Kentucky. "Tournament 12 was a great opportunity for Zach to display his talents on a major stage. Zach has accepted a scholarship and just signed a letter of intent to attend the University of Kentucky, a major SEC program. Tournament 12 was the first time anyone from Kentucky had ever seen Zach pitch" - Sheldon Pop, Zach Pop's father.

Seven additional roster spots per team will be named on Friday, August 15, with the final tournament rosters being declared on Friday, August 29. Eligible players will be evaluated throughout the 2014 season at; MLB Scouting Bureau Tryouts, major tournaments, the Canada Cup, and Provincial Roster Selection Camps. There will also be a series of Invitational Final Evaluation Camps in July and August. Exact dates and times will be available at bluejays.com/t12.
