The TORONTO BLUE JAYS will open the home portion of their 38th season with a sold out Rogers Centre for HONDA Home Opener on Friday, April 4th against the New York Yankees at 7:07pm. Gates will open at 5:00pm and Blue Jays fans are strongly advised to arrive early and be part of the festive atmosphere at Rogers Centre.
Upon entering Rogers Centre, Blue Jays fans will receive a Honda Home Opener Rally Towel to wave during the game to support the home team. Courtesy of Honda Canada, one lucky baseball fan will be awarded a brand new 2014 Honda CR-V EX-L AWD, while eight others will go home with Honda lawnmowers during the game.
Additionally, the winner of the Jays Care Foundation 50/50 draw, presented by Ericsson, will have the opportunity to take home up to $30,000.

Hall of Fame Second Baseman Roberto Alomar will accept the award on behalf of the Club and Jays Care, with the presentation taking place in the middle of the 6th inning.
Performing both the Canadian and American national anthems will be 2nd Lieutenant Scotty Newlands. He will be joined on field during opening ceremonies by 10 Canadian Olympic and Paralympic medalists.
Following the game all fans will be presented a 2014 Toronto Blue Jays magnet schedule and a copy of a Blue Jays special edition Sportsnet Magazine. Fans across the country can watch the game, including the pregame ceremonies, live on Sportsnet (or listen to the game on the Fan Radio network).
