Toronto Blue Jays announce investment in new children's hospital

$250,000 Jays Care grant to fund construction of the Physical Therapy Wing at the Montreal Children's Hospital

On Friday, March 28 at 11 a.m. ET, the TORONTO BLUE JAYS and MONTREAL CHILDREN'S HOSPITAL will formally announce the $250,000 JAYS CARE FOUNDATION Field of Dreams capital grant in the new Montreal Children's Hospital.

The Toronto Blue Jays, through Jays Care Foundation, have invested $250,000 towards the construction of the new Montreal Children's Hospital, set to open in May of 2015. The club has scheduled this announcement to coincide with the return of Major League Baseball to Montreal, when the Blue Jays prepare to take on the New York Mets to conclude their Spring Training schedule.

"The Blue Jays have made a commitment to investing in communities across Canada," says Danielle Bedasse, Jays Care Foundation Executive Director. "The Montreal Children's Hospital does remarkable work for children in Montreal and Quebec as a whole, and we are excited to support the construction of their new facility."
