Toronto will host the Indians at Rogers Centre for a three-game set from April 2-4, 2013. The information was revealed as the 2013 schedules for all 30 teams in the Major Leagues were released on Wednesday afternoon.
Following the series against Cleveland, the Blue Jays will then host Boston for three games before embarking on their first road trip with series in Detroit and Kansas City.
Interleague Play for the Blue Jays will begin on May 14 with a two-game home series against the Giants. Also traveling to Toronto from the National League will be Atlanta (May 27-28), Colorado (June 17-19) and the Dodgers (July 22-24).
Toronto also will have road trips to San Francisco, Atlanta and San Diego before Interleague wraps up in Arizona with a three-game set against the D-backs on Sept. 2-4.
The Blue Jays will celebrate Canada Day at Rogers Centre for the third consecutive year. Toronto will host the Tigers for a four-game series from July 1-4. The Blue Jays also will be home for Victoria Day with a matinee affair against the Rays on May 20.
The toughest part of Toronto's schedule occurs in late July and runs through August. The Blue Jays have a three-city road trip from July 29-Aug. 7 in Oakland, Anaheim and Seattle. Following a brief homestand, the club once again hits the road for three cities with series in Tampa Bay, New York and Houston.
The longest homestand will immediately follow the All-Star Game at Citi Field in New York. The Blue Jays open the second half of the year with 10 games at Rogers Centre against the Rays, Dodgers and Astros from July 19-28.
If the Blue Jays are going to make the postseason next season, they'll first have to close out the year against some divisional rivals. The club's final 15 games of the season come against the American League East, with the conclusion coming in a three-game set against the Rays from Sept. 27-29.
