Jays to evaluate Halladay on Friday
If Doc is cleared, he will start Monday vs. the Rays

Toronto manager Cito Gaston said that Halladay is scheduled to throw off a mound on Friday and that bullpen session will help determine whether the pitcher is recovered enough to be activated as planned. If Halladay still experiences any discomfort, though, right-hander Scott Richmond will likely be given the nod to start on Monday.
"Let's hope it's Doc -- nothing against Richmond," Gaston said.
Halladay, who is tied for the Major League lead with 10 wins and has a 2.53 ERA, felt a sharp pain during his second pitch in the top of the fourth inning of Toronto's 7-3 loss to Florida on June 12. He attempted a warmup pitch in front of Gaston and head trainer George Poulis, but the pitcher exited after still feeling some soreness.
Prior to that injury-shortened appearance, Halladay had turned in at least seven innings in his 13 previous starts and was coming off two consecutive complete-game performances. Over his last 10 trips up the hill, including his injury-shortened no-decision, Halladay has gone 7-0 with a 2.07 ERA, 62 strikeouts and nine walks over 74 innings.
