The TORONTO BLUE JAYS have signed RHP CHAD JENKINS who was selected 20th overall by the Blue Jays in the 2009 First Year Player Draft.
JENKINS, 21, is a 6-4, 235lb. right handed pitcher who attended Kennesaw State University. This past season the Canton, Georgia native compiled an 8-1 record with an ERA of 2.54 and was the Atlantic Sun Conference Pitcher of the Year. In 13 starts he posted five complete games with two shutouts and recorded 98 strikeouts in 92 innings.
The Blue Jays have now signed 30 players selected in 2009 draft.
