The Toronto Blue Jays have signed INF Kevin Millar to a minor league contract for the 2009 season, with an invitation to major league spring training.
Millar, 37, batted .234 with 20 home runs and 72 RBI for the Baltimore Orioles in 2008. His 20 home runs marked the 3rd time in his career he has achieved 20 or more in a single season. The Los Angeles, California native has played in parts of 11 seasons with Florida (1999-2002), Boston (2003-05) and Baltimore (2006-08), posting a .277 career average with 163 home runs and 670 RBI.
