    Pitcher Anthony DeSclafani of the Miami Marlins has received a three-game suspension and an undisclosed fine for intentionally throwing a pitch at Carlos Gomez of the Milwaukee Brewers, with a warning in place, in the bottom of the sixth inning of the Thursday, September 11th game at Miller Park in Milwaukee.

  • Baltimore's Davis suspended

    The Office of the Commissioner of Baseball announced today that Baltimore Orioles first baseman Chris Davis has received a 25-game suspension without pay after testing positive for an Amphetamine in violation of Major League Baseball's Joint Drug Prevention and Treatment Program.

  • MLB Announces 2014 Postseason Schedule

    Major League Baseball today announced the schedule for the 2014 Postseason, which is set to open with the American League Wild Card Game presented by Budweiser on TBS on Tuesday, September 30th. Game One of the 2014 World Series on FOX is scheduled for Tuesday, October 21st in the ballpark of the American League Champions.

    Major League Baseball today announced its master 2015 regular season schedule, which will begin with ESPN's "Sunday Night Baseball" on April 5th . Details of the Opening Night contest are forthcoming. A full slate of 15 Opening Day games is currently set for Monday, April 6th.
