Left-hander gets work during Triple-A game, will pitch Friday
Wandy Rodriguez threw two innings in a Triple-A game against the Braves at the Astros' Spring Training complex on Sunday.
Rodriguez yielded two runs, one earned, on two hits with two walks and three strikeouts. He threw 45 pitches, 26 for strikes.
The left-hander is attempting to work his way back into the rotation after suffering a strained left oblique muscle during a start against the Tigers on March 14.
Rodriguez threw one inning in a Class A game on Friday. He will be on schedule to pitch Friday against the Tigers at Minute Maid Park, which would be five days before his first regular season start on Wednesday, April 2 in San Diego.
