Young heats up, but Nats fall to Marlins
First baseman logs a hit in Washington's loss to Florida

Marlins at the plate: They were down, 1-0, when they scored three runs in the top of the third inning. Mike Jacobs highlighted the scoring with a two-run home run off right-hander John Patterson. Hanley Ramirez also had a run-scoring single.
Nationals at the plate: Felipe Lopez scored the first run of the game in the first inning when Ryan Zimmerman doubled to left-center field off Anibal Sanchez. First baseman Dmitri Young went 1-for-2 with a walk in the game.
Marlins on the mound: Sanchez pitched four innings and gave up a run on four hits. He now has an ERA of 1.46. Reliever Henry Owens pitched two shutout innings.
Nationals on the mound: Patterson pitched in his first exhibition game since March 2 and gave up three runs in three innings. Right-hander Joel Hanrahan had his first outing of the spring, pitching three shutout innings.
Grapefruit League records: Marlins 8-11-2, Nationals 5-10-1.
Up next: The Marlins return to Jupiter, Fla., to face the Astros on Monday afternoon at 1:05 p.m ET. Florida left-hander Scott Olsen will face Houston right-hander Jason Jennings.
The Nationals return to Space Coast Stadium to play the Dodgers on Monday at 1:05 p.m. ET. Washington right-hander Shawn Hill will face Dodgers left-hander Randy Wolf.
