This Day in Baseball History:
March 27, 1987 > The New York Mets shrewdly trade catcher Ed Hearn and journeymen pitchers Rick Anderson and Mauro "Goose" Gozzo to the Kansas City Royals for 24-year old David Cone. While Anderson and Gozzo will go on to win a combined total of 11 games in their careers, Cone will win 80 games and twice be named to the NL All-Star team during his 5 and 1/2 seasons as a Met.
