This Day in Baseball History:
July 25, 1966 > Former Boston Red Sox batting great Ted Williams and managerial legend Casey Stengel are inducted into the Hall of Fame. Williams makes an especially memorable speech, calling for the induction of Negro League legends who were denied the opportunity to play in the Majors. Five years later, the Hall will heed the Splinter's call and induct Satchel Paige.
